The 3mm IR (Infrared) Receiver Diode, also known as a phototransistor, is a compact sensor designed to detect infrared signals rather than emit light. Its dark epoxy lens filters visible light to improve IR sensitivity. Operating at 1.6V–1.8V, it features a long-leg through-hole design for easy PCB mounting.
